The way to Malahide takes about 15 minutes by dart from Comolly station.
Malahide is a small vibrant seaside town situated in Fingal in North County Dublin. A town that has been described in modern times as a young, progressive cosmopolitan town Malahide has somehow managed to retain a personal tone and a unique old world charm.
There are many reasons for Malahide's popularity as a place to live and visit one of these is the beautiful sea views and Malahide Marina.
Malahide's 'Velvet Strand' as it is locally known is one of the most beloved beaches in Fingal and is popular as a bathing spot and is also an attractive spot for a host of activities from canoeing to jet skis. The beach is patrolled by a lifeguard during the summer months and is a popular destination for a quiet Stoll on those long summer afternoons.
Malahide Marina is one of the largest Marina 's in Dublin catering for over 350 berths. The Marina offers short term and long term stays and this has made it a very popular berthing point for those wanting to explore the waters around the east coast. The facilities offered at the Marina are modern and well kept with a new state of the art facilities centre recently opened. The Marina itself is quite picturesque, the views of the many different craft against the horizon is a sight commented upon by visitors to the area and is certainly an image that is lingers in peoples minds.
Malahide today is one of the most popular spots in Dublin to eat out offering a wide choice of top quality, world class restaurants offering superb food and an atmosphere second to none. There is also an abundance of places where one can sit back and enjoy a quiet drink with friends or where you can enjoy a lively night in the pubs and clubs in the area.
The town of Malahide itself is a prosperous, vibrant place with many different successful businesses trading side by side. Although Malahide has expanded extensively in recent years it still remains a village.
