Our travel to Lanzarote

From Playa Bianca we headed the road to Uga through moonlike landscape of vulcatic stone fild and strange shapes vineyards. It is interestign that vines growing in volcanic lapilli in the La Geria region of Lanzarote. The low, curved walls are traditionally used to protect the vines from the constant wind (see the picture)

Uga is a small village on the way to Yazia (one of the counties in Lanzarote) It is famous if its smoked salmons! Fresh salmons are imported to the island from Norway and here, in Uga, they smoke them using the old special secret recipy! I kg of special smoked salmon costs @35 Euro! Ah, if you knew what a tast it has!!!!! We bought some salmon in a hope to bring it back home to Ireland but it couldn't stay in our frige even two days!
